Marvel’s Agent Carter: Why We Love Edwin Jarvis AKA James D’Arcy
February 9, 2016 / TV Overmind By Tiffany Raiford
He plays the trusty Butler, Edwin Jarvis, on the hit show Agent Carter, and we just adore James D’Arcy. Everything he does is fabulous, and there is nothing we don’t adore about his role, his personality and even his handsome and unassuming nature. This is a man who plays his character with grace and amazingness, and we love it. That’s why we have to tell you why we love him so much; just so you’ll really believe us
James D’Arcy is actually a pretty funny guy with a big personality, even though we don’t get to see a lot of that on television. We kind of love that he’s like that in real life, since it makes us see him a bit differently in the show.
IT’S DIFFICULT FOR HIM TO FILM
When he’s supposed to be serious, he laughs a lot. There are times when the scenes he and Hayley film together are more like the two of them dying laughing more than anything else, and it’s something that they just adore.
HE LIKES TO IMPROVISE
Sometimes he sees something that he thinks he can make better in the script, and he tries it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not, but we love that he’s able to admit that he’s not always perfect.
Who doesn’t love a man who can dance? We’ve seen some videos of him online that make us want to laugh a little bit harder than necessary, but it’s totally worth it in the long run.
We love a man with an accent, and a British Accent is a pretty sexy one to have. When he speaks, it’s always fun to listen. I could sit back and listen to anyone with a British accent talk all day long, to be quite honest.
