BILBAO. It has taken many trials and up to twelve shots for James D'Arcy crossed the square Arriaga Theater to catch a bus that was waiting. A lighter that does not light, or curious that no flash turned off their cameras were forced to repeat the scene until it has been for good.
Four vintage cars, a bus from the thirties and dozens of extras dressed as civilians or soldiers have captured the curiosity of those who were milling on the bridge or the road to watch the filming of the movie.
"Guernica," which is filmed in English, Castilian and Basque and has a budget of six million euros, is not a film about the bombing of April 26, 1937 of the Legion over the town, but a love story born in the context of war.
Since last May 15 Bilbao has been the scene of the shooting, which the Bridge of San Anton, the Bidebarrieta Library, society or the Bilbao Plaza Nueva and will do for the Arab Hall of the City Council has passed.
Not only Bilbao, also other parts of the territory as Getxo, Barakaldo or Lekeitio, Azpeitia in Artziniega Alava and Gipuzkoa are the scene of the shooting. Of course, Gernika.
The Gernika after the bombing, however, be recreated in an abandoned village Aragon.
